Facebook

I have added myself to facebook! Finally! Have invited other half and another couple of librarian friends - Catherine Voutier and Caroline Ramsden. The latter is overseas at the moment and the former should reply to my invite either tonight or tomorrow. What an interesting exercise. I really must get photos done properly. hmmmmm

Chaotic

Well, it is Saturday morning and I am desperately trying to catch up on this Web 2 course. Yes, I am embarrassed, one because I couldn't remember my password and two, I am doing other study as well and I think I have bitten off more than I can chew. I am up at mums' place just about every weekend and getting anything like this done there is impossible! On my own at home at the moment so here goes! Byeeeeeee.

Long weekend

Well, it is Saturday afternoon and I am up at the farm. Not a drop of rain in sight, they didn't even get any rain when Melbourne got theirs last week. It's awful. Wallan on the Hume Highway is just black from the fires. The trees are black silhouettes along the roadside and one can see some burnt out buildings along the way. Our family knows a few people that have been affected and it will take them a long time to get over the nightmare, if at all.

Went to both Benalla and Wangaratta today, two different directions but about the same distance each way from the farm. Had breakfast at our "haunt" in Benalla. The waitress knows what we want by now. Did a bit of looking around there then headed into Wangaratta to mums' favourite horse shop! lol By the time we got home it was after 1pm. Time DOES fly!

Restful afternoon, study, reading etc. til we have to go out to feed the "girls" (horses) and we will sit outside for a while when they are eating and have a drink and some nibblies. Peaceful.

Has been a busy week and glad it is a long weekend coming up. Heading up to mums' for a few days and on Sunday ...... might flit off to Shepparton to my little "haunt" I stay at. Anyway, see how I go. Ok, back to the work thing. Will update next week, week two of the Web 2.0 course.
